Cedar Valley’s Horse Sanctuary is a volunteer endeavor with a mission to be good stewards of God's creation by providing care for horses who have been neglected or are in danger of being euthanized, and to enhance the lives of animals and people through positive relationships.
The program relies on volunteers and donors to nurture these beautiful, benign creatures in need of kindness and care. A volunteer board oversees the program with a goal to identify and meet animals’ needs and build goodwill and community awareness through education and outreach.
Donations help cover costs for veterinary and farrier services, as well as feed and equipment. Monetary donations large and small are appreciated, as well as in-kind gifts of feed and equipment. Sponsors also may Adopt a Horse with a minimum $1200 annual gift to cover feed for an entire year. Tax-deductible donations can made to the Horse Sanctuary Fund at the Cedar Community Foundation. Please contact Amy Johnson, Cedar Community Foundation, at 262.338.2819 or email.
Cedar Valley hosts a variety of events and overnight retreats, providing experiences for those who love animals and /or wish to experience a restful, pastoral atmosphere. Visit our Events page or join our mailing list for invitations and exclusive updates.
